Wake up with Alpha Gams Breakfast will be April 23!
*We have just changed our local philanthropy to Scroggins Park. Check back for more info and news on our new exciting plans!
*So far this year we have co-hosted with the PHA's a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes. We had a great turnout and raised $360! Also, on Saturdays, our members have been going to Scott Co. Humane Society for an hour or two to help take care of the dogs and cats-- whether it's cleaning them up or playing with them, it's a good time!
*In the fall of 2004 we held our first annual Date Auction to raise money for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. As stated from www.alphagammadelta.org the missions of the Foundation are "to generate financial resources to fund the educational, philanthropic and leadership of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity, AND to support those purposes for both members and non-members, through financial grants for scholarships; leadership training; diabetes research, education and equipment; emergency financial assistance; wellness issues; and programs that enhance high personal standards of ethics and values."
*We had a great turnout with lots of girls with bags of money ready to spend on their favorite man and even guys were showing up to watch. We auctioned off some of the finest gentlemen on campus and each date was given certificates and prizes donated by local restaurants and companies to ensure each date was a wonderful one.
*We were successful in raising a little over $900! This was a new fun event for us and we hope to do it again in the future!
